Debris Removal

1. Debris piles up fast. Getting rid of it shouldn't take all month.
Torn-out cabinets, a pile of limbs by the ditch, the carport full of old carpet. We load it, haul it off and leave the ground swept, in one visit.
Most debris jobs start the same way: a project finishes, or a storm passes, and suddenly there's a heap that won't fit in the rollcart and won't wait for bulk pickup.
Second Life Cleanouts hauls that heap away for homeowners and small contractors across Livingston and East Baton Rouge parishes. We do the lifting and loading, then sweep or rake the spot so you get your driveway back.
Pricing is simple to explain: it's based on how much there is and how far we drive. Text us a few photos and you'll get a free estimate before anything gets loaded.
2. The kinds of debris we clear
If you can picture it in the back of a trailer, it's probably on this list.
- Renovation debris: drywall, old cabinets, flooring, carpet and pad, trim and doors
- Small demolition leftovers from a bathroom or kitchen redo
- Yard debris: limbs, brush, bagged leaves, old fencing and broken lawn furniture
- Storm cleanup: downed branches, damaged outdoor furniture, waterlogged household contents
- Shed and carport clear-outs, including the scrap wood you've been saving
- Working fixtures and appliances pulled during a remodel (these get set aside, not tossed)
Ask us first. Some items need special handling or a different kind of hauler. Mention these when you text, and we'll tell you straight.
- Paint, chemicals and anything flammable
- Tires
- Concrete, brick and large amounts of dirt
- Whole-house demolition or roofing tear-offs
- Hot tubs and large sheds
3. From photo to bare ground in four steps
No site visit needed for most debris jobs. Your phone camera does the first part.
- Text a few photos of the pile. Stand back far enough to show the whole thing, and tell us your town. A second photo of how we'd reach it helps too.
- Get a free estimate. Jordan prices it by load volume and the drive, then you pick a time that works.
- We load and haul it all. Everything goes in one visit. Usable materials and working items are pulled aside as we load.
- We sweep up and send photos. The spot is swept or raked clean, and you get before-and-after photos by text when we're done.
4. Even a debris pile gets a second look
A remodel often turns out a working range, a solid vanity or a box of unused tile. Instead of crushing those with the drywall, we sort every load by hand and set the good pieces apart.
Items that are usable, or easily fixed, go to local thrift stores that serve our neighbors. The rest is hauled off for proper disposal. You can read where usable items end up and how we decide.
